Try this easy recipe to prepare the tradition Lebanese Hareesa dessert.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes approximately
Cooking Time: 45 minutes approximately
Serves: 8 persons

All you need

3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp. ghee
1 cup milk prepare from al alali Full Cream Milk Powder
1 1/2 cup coconut
3 tsps. al alali Baking Powder

Syrup
1 cup water for every two cup sugar and few drops of lemon juice
Or Use al alali Syrup

Directions

  • In bowl, mix flour, al alali Baking Powder and coconut
  • In a bowl, mix ghee with sugar, add eggs and mix in one direction
  • Add milk and continue mixing until homogeneous
  • Add flour mixture, mix well
  • Pour mixture into a tray
  • Bake Harisa at 180°C (250°F) until cooked
  • Pour syrup slowly, allow to cool
  • Cut into pieces, Serve and enjoy!
